Panorama of the Thames Project

Wednesday, 11 December 2013

The digital restoration of the Westminster to Richmond panorama and the Adelphi panoramas are both complete.

The project representatives hope that the website will launch at the end of the year with most landmarks in all reaches having history and, in some cases, intriguing insights attached to them. We are always able to add or amend information where needed if anything new comes to light. Thus far the results of the software development, which is both complicated and innovative, have far exceeded the expectations but there is still much work to do. The website development phase starts shortly.

Here is a preview of two panoramas from the project.

The project has been contacted by leading publishers who have shown an interest in publishing our Leigh restoration and historical text in book form. Latest endorsements are on www.panoramaofthethames.com/endorsements

Thus far, the Panorama of the Thames has been a community project. The project is now looking for sponsorship to enable it to shoot the contemporary photographic version through the winter months.
