Historical referencesDemonstrated at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1900. There is a confusion and often wrong information about this moving panorama. Since there were two (!) moving panoramas of the transsiberian railway on show in the same building, information on the two are mixed up.
In 1904 the panorama was displayed at the next World's Fair, Centennial Louisiana purchase, in St. Louis, Missouri.
The film was transferred to the Russian Museum of Emperor Alexander III, then went to the Hermitage deposits. In 2004, the Hermitage and the Railways have agreed to the restoration of the painting, completed in 2008.
